Welcome To My Kitchen

Kelly's Korner is doing a "Where You Live" Home Tour today!

Today's room is your kitchen.

Even though I am not the best cook, my kitchen happens to have a lot of my favorite things in it...besides the cookies!

This is my Mary Engelbreit baker boy cookie jar. I think he's pretty cute. I wanted him for years and could never find it. My parents got him for me for my birthday last year.

The recipe box was my grandma's and it's filled with her hand written recipes. I love seeing her handwriting.

When Marcus raised the ceiling in the kitchen he put outlets on top of my cabinets. That boy is a genius and also knows the way to my heart.

The dried flowers at the end of the cabinet are actually my wedding bouquet.

The Little Blue House sign was painted by my sister and hung outside my store.

(the store is closed now, but I sure have enough stuff to prove it existed)

*Ignore the Easter Eggs hanging from the chandelier. At the time the picture was taken they were appropriate. *

This is the breakfast nook looking into the office.

This chandelier ( look no eggs!) is from IKEA. It was just black wrought iron and I beaded it.

Thanks so much for touring my kitchen. Next time I'll bake something for you!

I just found your blog through Kelly's and I must say I LOVE it! You are so creative! I am in the DFW area, too. (Recognized the good ole stockyards from your older posts!) I do have to ask if your red sofa is from Ikea. If so, is it comfy? Holding up well? I am considering it in white (gasp!) and would love to hear from someone who has one.

I'm a follower now, so I will be back!

Just stopped by from Kelly's Korner. Love the kitchen. Quick question, where did you get the big letters that say HOME (I think) in the 7th picture that shows your table and chairs. I love them!

ohmygoodness. I love your kitchen. I especially love everything you have on top of your cabinets! Gives me some good ideas, even though my cabinets are boring compared to yours!

I LOVE your kitchen. Please come do mine. It's so cute.

You girls are too sweet! Thanks for stopping by.

I need to answer 2 questions so far:
To Staci- the red couch is from IKEA and we like it. It's not in our tv room, so it doesn't get a ton of use, but it has held up well. good luck with the white!

To Stacy: The letters do say "home". You can probably see it better in an earlier post somewhere. I got them at www.cheapthrillsdecor.com. They are local for me, but you can probably order some like it. They won't be exact, but similar. Glad you like it!

Hey Val,
