Hi!

So I was looking at my site meter at the bottom of my blog and it practically blew up this weekend! I put a link to my blog on Kelly's Korner to show my kitchen. That girl has a following like no other. And now some of her sweet readers are my sweet readers! Now I feel some pressure of what I am going to write about....It's not just my 10 friends reading anymore.

So I guess I will just introduce myself to those that don't know me:

I'm Dina. I do love to decorate and I'm not scared of color, hence the blue kitchen cabinets and red and white checkerboard floor. Thankfully it's my husband's opinion that the wife gets to decorate the house how ever she wants. I don't know how he got that opinion, but I love it and appreciate it. We once had a PINK dining room and he didn't mind a bit.

My husband, Marcus, is my BFF. We have known each other since we were 12. I didn't know I wanted to marry him until I was 23 though. He is a firefighter, a deacon, a handy man, a great cook, an ironman and athlete, and the best man I know. Our 10th anniversary is in October. I can't believe it!

You are probably wondering like everybody else: When are you going to have kids? Do you want to have kids? Can you have kids? Do you know that you are probably too old to have kids?

Our answer: If God wants us to have kids, then we'll be thrilled to have kids.

I LOVE Christmas and the whole Christmassy month of December. I start thinking about Christmas decorations in July. I love Christmas music and Christmas movies, especially Elf! It's just such a fun, festive time, when everybody is doing good will and in a good mood. I decorate my whole house and usually start before Thanksgiving. Sorry, I know that annoys some people.

I also love coke, pretty much anything with sugar, reality TV (not the nasty stuff), fun jewelry, girly movies, flip flops, Mexican food, Texas Tech Red Raider football, polka dots, decorating magazines, cereal, Hobby Lobby, antique shops, church, my church friends, and God most of all.

There is not much I don't like, but the main thing I am known for not liking is condiments. You know... ketchup, mustard mayo, sour cream, guacamole..stuff like that.

and look what's in my fridge:gag

Why do we need GIANT ketchup and mustard?
I am a Realtor, and I sell jewelry and other things at Golightly's.
I only work part time, because Marcus has a crazy fire fighter schedule. 24 on 48 off. If I worked Monday through Friday we would never see each other. And we still like to see each other. We have not been apart more than 2 days in our whole marriage. Am I making you nauseous?

And here is my crazy family:

Marcus and I are in the middle

So that's me in a nutshell. And yes, I do realize you never asked!

Thanks so much to all the people who left such sweet comments. It's humbling.
Now I need to go decorate something, so I can take a picture, post it on my blog, and be really interesting. THE PRESSURE!

I was one of those Kelly readers. I am so glad I came across you blog. It is great that you aren't afraid to use color. I just love it. My husband on the other hand.... not so much. I can do whatever I want as long as I keep it in the earth tone family. Thankfully I can get a little creative in my 3 year olds room. Feel no pressure.... your site is great as it is.

O-M-G I think we are sister from a different mister. I always tell people that I live a "condiment-free lifestyle"! So nice to meet a fellow plain jane (as far as food goes!) And the love of coke, polka dots and mexican food. Oh how we could be BFF's! And I recognize so many of the places from your blog. I live in Cowtown myself and the Ryan Place Candlelight home tour is my favorite Christmas tradition.

So glad I found your blog. You have awesome style!
