Happy Summer

The official start of summer is in two days. In Texas it has felt like summer for about 2 months now. The weather men can take a long vacation and just say it is going to be hot, humid and miserable for the next 100 days. Don't bother doing your hair or make up.

Summer time has it's perks though. I love that it stays light later. Now Marcus will stay up past 8:00 like a big boy. And another perk of summer is that you can see fireworks every Friday night at Grapevine lake!

The dogs just couldn't believe that we were sitting in the back of the truck with them. It was like it was the best day of their lives and they kept smiling.

My sister and brother in law met us there with the kids to join the fun:

It's kind of hard to get pictures of fireworks. I was committed to at least get one good one for you.

And then we finished our summer night with Sonic.

And now I only have about 5 months until I can start decorating for Christmas. Can't wait!

great shot of the fireworks. I always loved when they started the "Concerts in the Garden" down at Trinity Park. I used to be able to see them from my front yard.

Aren't Sonic cokes the best?

Hi Dina,

I was laughing when I read your description, because it could have been my profile too : )
I used to live in Michigan (Dearborn). My husband used to work for Ford, so he stayed 3,5 years there. We got married and I moved there and we stayed for 2 more years. And then it was time to move back to Brazil.
The main reason why I write in English is that I won't loose the fluency in English. I think I am doing a good job, because we moved back in 2003 and I can still keep up long conversations in English, without think in Portuguese.

Have a nice week,
Fabiola

I would love more than anything to move back to Texas and reading your blog, looking at your photos and hearing about all the AWESOME shopping in Dallas makes me miss it even more. Thank you for allowing us into your home :D

I just went thru your entire blog drooling over your pictures of your decorations and your home! You are so talented! I'm in the DFW area, Grand Prairie, to be exact so my sister, mom and I are going to check out that antique shop you always blog about. Your home should be featured in a magazine. wowzers!
