Where I Office

Today at Kelly's Korner she is having an office tour.

My office is right off my kitchen:

This is where I'm sitting right now:
I should be doing all my Realtor wheeling and dealing here, but mainly it's used for blog and email checking. And sometimes shopping too!

My bills go in the green mailbox. And my fireman holds my pens.

I collect W's. Looks like I could use some more...

The built in radio is one of the only things we kept that was original to this house. It is super ugly, but I LOVE it. It has speakers in every room and I can blast the music while I'm cleaning or decorating or whatever.

My office is pretty sparse compared to the rest of my house, because this is where the dogs sleep. Although they are good about not chewing stuff up. I leave my purse and flip flops in here almost every night and they have never been mistaken for a chew toy.

Good dogs!

Of course I have to show you the BEFORE picture of the office:

We made a little half wall from the kitchen to the office so I could hide my computer behind it. We also did a million other things too.

Thanks so much for coming over!

***Edit***

answers to some questions:

*The clock is from Timeworks. They are way too expensive and I think you can find similar ones at Kirklands or maybe TJ Maxx for less. I was able to get mine wholesale when I had my store.

*The black cabinet was a built-in at my brother in law's house. They ripped it out and we picked it up and painted it! It works perfect in the office. Sorry I can't point you to a store to buy one for yourself.

*The floor is vinyl composition tiles. We ordered them from Armstrong. You can get any color of the rainbow.

Thanks for all your sweet and encouraging comments. They are appreciated!

Super cute! I love how the (gorgeous!) dragonfly(?) windows break up the space but still allow light.

Hey I came across your blog on kelly's and thought I would let you know a cool Idea..You can use oil pastels on the vinyl comp. tiles and put them in your oven on a cookie sheet, when they get a little flimsy, bend them into a shape they can stand up and the paint has these cool bubbles in it....we have made wall hangings, bookends and all kinds of great gifts with the painted tiles :)
