Fit vs. Fat

Thank you so much for all the great music suggestions. You should all seriously consider being D.J.s! Music really does make it so much easier to keep moving.

I wonder if the old couple walking past me in the park today could hear "Baby Got Back" playing in my ears?

I went to the grocery store today and I felt like a total liar. It's like I was pretending to be the girl that buys fruits and vegetables. I'm really the girl that buys Oreos. And not just the regular Oreos, the double stuff ones. (why do they even sell the "single" stuff ones anymore?)

So I am going to try to eat healthy the majority of the time, but I AM NOT on a diet. Because the second I say I am on a diet I will crave every delicious sugary morsel under the sun. So I am just going to make wiser choices.

Like these chocolate covered strawberries for instance. This was our dessert tonight:

Yes, it's chocolate, but there's a real live fruit under there!

Now this on the other hand was not a wise choice. (Except that it really was, because it's the best dessert I have EVER had.)

We got it at Chili's on Friday night and I had to share it with you, because it is so fantastic. It will make you want to be fat.

This is the description:
We start with a warm, chewy bar layered with chocolate chips, walnuts and coconut.
Topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with hot fudge and caramel.

Let's all meet up at Chili's right now. We could walk there!

I think it's so funny that you pointed out that whenever you say "diet" you crave every unhealthy thing. So true, so true.
Kuddos to you for eating healthier...we are doing the same- one baby step at a time!! :)

That dessert looks heavenly! I struggled with my weight for years but I've been able to keep off 75 pounds for 8 years now (even while I was pregnant). My key is the gym, at least 4 days a week. I work out at Lifetime Colleyville and love it.

The gym enables me to maintain and still eat yummy food!

YUM!! Loooks good! I agree...DO NOT diet. Just eat healthy and enjoy the food you love. I started eating about half of everything on my plate...and have managed to lose and maintain my weight that way. I know it sounds a bit to easy....but it worked for me. It is in my crazy head, I guess. I still eat Oreos....but will hav 1 instead of my normaal handful. Ha Ha.

Good Luck! LOVE your BLOG!!!
