I love when things magically work out.
First, I got these lamp shades at Golightly's (at two different times) and painted them black.
Then I found these great crystal lamps at a garage sale, for $5! They were just big enough to fit the shades.
Then of course I had to add some fabric and a flower. Adding flowers to my lamps has become a little bit of an addiction.
I just added these flowers to my bedroom lamps.
It's cheap, easy, and not permanent.
My brother in law was over today and said, "So do you just walk around your house every morning and say, 'what am I going to decorate today?'
Pretty much

Super cute!! I can't believe you got those lamps for only $5! What a steal!
Very cute! What your brother in law said is funny and reminds sounds a lot like something my fiancée would say. Looking forward to meeting everyone on the 14th!

Your lamps look great! I love your bedroom, too! I'm a follower now!
Love it!
I just had to say hello. I found your blog from Kelly's Korner. I live just minutes from Golightly's and love to go there. I enjoyed reading your blog and love all the color!
Love, love the wire lampshades!

Those are too cute!!!
One more question, sorry to bother... How did you attach the ribbon? I assume some type of glue. I'm trying to think of a non permanent way so I don't ruin the shade incase I ever want to change
WoW...I just got inspired! It was GREAT meeting you tonight!

Oh... Dina, I wish I had 10 per cent of your creativity.
I've saw so many beautiful project out in the blogland and I can't picture them in my house. And yes, my house is in desperate need of some decoration.

Loved meeting all of you great ladies last night! Looking forward to the next time! (and I have got to get my hands on one of those pies...next time I'm in the area, I'm so bringing one home! :D)
Just wanted to tell you that my hubs and I went to the cattle barn flea market today, and it was sooooo hot! A lot of booths were closed, and of course those were the ones where they looked like they had things I'd be interested in. We still had fun (found a handful of things) and hubs got some records. I'm glad I found out about this...I'll be back for sure!
I am loving your blog! The wall behind those lamps is exactly the color I've been trying to find for my kitchen. Would you mind sharing the brand/name? Thanks!
