The Flipper Part III

This is the 3rd and final post about the flipper. In my comments I am being offered lunch, dessert, sugar and cupcakes to come and decorate for some of you. You know how to win me over, thats for sure!

It's obvious I didn't have a blog when I took these before and after pictures 2 years ago.
I want to go back in time and get better angles.
Until that's possible you'll have to look at these pictures.
The master bedroom before:

and after:

The fireplace in our master bedroom before:

and after:

The hall bath before:

and after: I painted one of those ugly 70's lights turquoise and used it as an accent lamp.

One of the guest bedrooms before:

and after:

And the other guest bedroom. I wish we had a before picture, because this room was totally burned. We had to gut the whole room and start over.

So now we are in our 4th house since we got married almost 10 years ago. Part of me wants to stay settled where we are and the other crazy part likes the idea of starting over and getting to decorate something new.

We'll see which part wins out...

I have enjoyed seeing all the pictures of the "flipper!"

Now, which of the above bribes did you most want? (haha) Because I need you to decorate my house so I can sell it! (sad, huh?)

You should really think about home staging. You have a great eye for design!

(and that pendant lighting in your hall bath before pics...wow, just wow...)

another awesome post! your blog is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I'm noticing that you guys scraped all the popcorn off the ceilings. What a huge difference that makes!! We didn't scrape ours in our current remodel (due to cost), and decided to paint them instead. I'm disappointed now, it looks so much better!

And yes, I have a Coconut Cream Pie with your name on it if you want to come and completely redecorate my home. :)

Have a great weekend!

I love those 70s lights! I've been trying to find one at the thrift stores to use as a garden decoration..to hang from one of my trees! :)

Great before/after pics!

Did you get new counters in the bathroom or did you paint them?

Unknown said...

Did you paint the countertops in the hall bathroom? They look the same in the after picture (with the shell shaped sink) :) but they are white... I have been dying to paint ours, but was scared that they'd start to peel... how'd they hold up? I saw a special paint at HomeDepot for painting countertops, is that what you used?!?!? We have the 1970's countertops with the fleck of the color of the tile (which is floor to ceiling, which matches the toilet, sink and bathtub..ha) and gold flecks in our countertops, and it's time for an update! But with 4 bathrooms, it's not really in the budget right now!

Hey there - quick question...looks like ya'll have painted cabinets several times instead of replacing them. My husband and I are wanting to paint our guest bath cabinets black...do ya'll sand them first or just paint right over the wood? email me at tinachessher@yahoo.com -- I'd appreciate it! We want to do it right!
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I love looking at your blog!!!

why aren't you an interior decorator? Your so good at it??

Hey Girls-

We did have the bathroom counters painted. We didn't do it ourselves though. We have a friend that has a company that does it. We had the bathtub done too. We have used him in our last 3 houses.

Thanks for all the sweet words.
