We went on a little road trip today and celebrated Marcus's half birthday. You can read how we started celebrating half birthdays here. It is just something fun that is just for the 2 of us. No one else in the world cares that we got 6 months older. We, on the other hand, think it's something to celebrate!
So I made some Rice Krispie treats and packed up my pink cooler.
We headed down to Round Rock, TX which is about 3 hours south of here. Marcus wanted to purchase something he saw on Craig's list that was there. Now this was no big deal to me, because last fall he bought a car off eBay in Rhode Island. At least we were staying in the same state! And plus it is his half birthday after all, we can do whatever he wants.
And that included getting some BBQ in Taylor at Louie Mueller. It has been around since 1949 and it is in the coolest building.
Then we drove through Salado and we went to the cutest store, Horsefeathers. That was clearly for me and not Marcus.
I loved the painted green floor in this room:
I saw this store in one of my decorating magazines about 5 years ago. I fell in love with the color of this room.
So I painted my living room the same color. This was at our old house.
We had a great time today and I am happy to celebrate Marcus's 34.5 years of life!
Are you dying to know what Marcus bought off Craig's List?
I'll tell you on Wednesday!
Because tomorrow I will have even bigger news...
Boy or Girl?

So Marcus and I are pretty much the same age. My half birthday would have been 2/29, if there were such a date this year. And I too turned 34.5!!! What is his actual birthday
And yeah for tomorrow!! I can't wait. Post soon!
I am DYING to know!!!!!
I sooo can't wait to find out!!! I am going with PINK!!!
My guess is a girl!
I LOVE Horsefeathers and go there every time we are in Salado. Can't wait to hear your BOY/GIRL news....call the store and let us know as I will be working with Penny.
Looks like ya'll had fun! Can't wait to hear what you're having! We find out tomorrow!
I read your blog all the time and love it! I work in Taylor and live in Salado! And my husband is a fireman in Temple too. I cant wait to find out what your having!
Remember to continue with these wonderful things you and Marcus do together as a married couple after your little girl (that's my guess) gets here. Something tells me that Marcus is man enough to handle two of you in his life! Not many men are.
Would you mind sharing the paint color? I love it!
