Goodbye and Hello

We are finally moved into our new house. We closed on the old one Thursday.
It was bitter sweet.
We were ready to move on, but I got a little teary saying goodbye.
It's the hormones. I get teary at commercials right now too.

I had to get a picture of Katie in front of the fireplace, because that's where we always took my pregnancy pictures. Now she can have her picture made all by herself. She doesn't have to hide in my belly!

We stayed at my parent's house one night, because it was getting late and our bed wasn't put together yet. I had hit my limit and I was ready to go to bed somewhere.

Katie slept in a chair at the foot of our bed. It was safe, I promise!

Then HELLO, new house!

I know I have a "before" picture somewhere, but I will have to search for that another time.
It was BROWN!
Now it's a cheery yellow, with a red door.

I still need to plant flowers, but I also still need to do a million other things too. Flowers can wait a few days.

And here's my cute baby. She is growing so fast! This picture was taken last week and she is already bigger. I need to learn to take her picture at the beginning of the day right when I get her dressed. BEFORE the cute outfit gets spit up on and her bow falls off.

And this is my cute niece, Melissa. She made baby cupcakes for when we had lunch there last Sunday!

It's nice to have the internet again! I missed my blog friends.

Dina, it looks so welcoming already. I can't wait to see what you do with it already. :) I loved your old home too though. I'll have to take a tour. I love the wreath on the door. Katie is cute as always. We had lunch after church the 25th of July at FBC with tons of the staff. Such nice people. Lisa Wertz and Julie Repass were really good trying to entertain our kids. We definately want to try sunday school this coming Sun. Jeff told us they're grouped by if you're married with kids they go by the ages of the kids instead of ages of the parents.

Just wanted to say I love your style, and love the red door, and the fact that you painted the trim around the door red too! We just painted ours red, and I never thought about the trim, too! Looking forward to more pics of your new place!

An empty house that held so many memories is sad. But your new one is so amazing. seriously. You need to become a designer or decorater. You are so bold and daring and yet it works so well. More than well. You have a gift!
