Life

We are slowly chipping away at the house projects.
Here is the office/sitting room before:

And After, along with the dining room:

The dining room is supposed to be the formal living and the sitting room is supposed to be the dining room. But I am a rule breaker and I needed a bigger dining room, so I switched!

And I planted some flowers:

It has been over 100 degrees in a row for over 2 weeks now. So hopefully the flowers will make it!

And here's another pretty flower:
Katie is one month old!
We went to the doctor today and she weighs 9 lbs 14 oz and is 21 3/4 inches long. So she gained 2 pounds and 1 inch in just 2 weeks.

One month of not getting much sleep is catching up with me. I am getting irritable. On the outside I am still polite, but you should hear the thoughts in my head!

Oooh I hope you're not silently cursing me for not getting Katies photos done yet! There are a couple of new ones on my photography blog. I'll be back from vacation by the weekend and it's my first priority. Won't take me long. I promise.

The yard looks great. Everything does. This heat really needs to go. I'm ready for fall and that that implies!

I love that you "broke the rules" to have a bigger dining room- that is a great idea!! :) Everything looks great!

I have been there with the no-sleep thing, and I tell you it wears on your body and mind! I remember thinking EVIL thoughts towards my husband, who would be snoozing soundly while I was up nursing for hours every night!

I promise, Katie will sleep eventually! Don't worry about the thoughts in your head! :)

And she looks adorable! We had that same outfit in a 24 months size and loved it! :)

It's looking like home already. I love it. My flowers didn't make it but then again I've never had a green thumb. :) Miss Katie is precious as always.

Everything is looking so good! I bet you will be GLAD when you are settled in your house with your sweet baby girl! I know at our house though, it's like the projects are never done. I keep buying new things to do stuff to and put up somewhere. ;)

The house is just coming along quite swimmingly, I just love how it looks at filled and detailed. You rock! Good for you for planting some flowers, I'm a flower person too and HAVE to have them, but goodness in this heat I don't even want out of the house. Yucky!
*honey, irritable has been my first name...not even my middle name!.....I don't even look or sound polite on the outside anymore and the thoughts in my head, well..let's just say they are NOT rated G or even PG-13.
*love seeing the little red cradle in the dining room
*katie is adorable with her little rosy cheeks and cute self, glad to hear she's a happy growing gal
*this sleeping thing shall pass, and please, by all means nap when little mama does

Dina-
If you get a spare second, (and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't) Could you tell me if you drilled your stadium chairs into your living room floor in your old house. Thanks,
Niki
PS Katie is the cutest thing, I am soooo happy to see all the cute bows. I have all boys, and I am dying to put a bow on something.
PSS I can only imagine how overwhelmed you must be feeling. I know that everytime we move I always seem to go through a funk, (even though I love to move), then add a new baby on top of that. Just know in a couple of months life will seem normal again!

You amaze me with all that you do! Is that a wonderful red tall cradle I see peeking out in the dining room photo? LOVE IT if so and want a tall cradle for my next babe.

Katie looks beautiful! Yea for her for gaining weight so well! In our experience gaining weight and sleeping longer seemed to go hand and hand. I soo understand the irritable thing and was at my absolute wit's end (husband came home from work to find me sobbing on the bed) when my little man started sleeping through the night. I didn't believe people when they said it'd get easier but it really, really has and even way more fun! Hang in there! Kelly
