My Face Hurts

I think Katie's congestion and stuffy nose snuck up onto my face! My sinuses are killing me and my face is swollen. I keep putting cold Coke cans on my eye sockets to reduce the puffiness. Mainly because I think Coke is the cure for anything.
So these things are my BFFs right now:

I hate being sick. Especially because when you're a mom, you don't get sick days. Oh and as a bonus, when you're a breast feeding mom, you can't take any medicine for giant swelling stuffy sinuses! I guess it will make my baby drunk or something...OR it could make her very sleepy. Hmmm...

On an unrelated note. An anonymous commenter had some decorating questions. I would be happy to help if I can. Just leave your email address in the comments and I will contact you!
Have a Great Weekend!

You may want to check with your doctor about what to take. I took Tylenol Cold & Sinus while breastfeeding....with both kiddos.

Come to my house! For real! I need help... Please!! I have plenty of Coke on hand. I'm local, ya know. And I've seen your house in person. LOVE!

Feel better soon. Have you asked your dr if there's anything you can take. I worked as a nurse (both in Ob and peds) and I Know there things that are safe for breastfeeding moms. But I agree. Coke cures everything. So do milkshakes.

Hmmm... The word I had to type to post that comment was "pudger". Maybe I should lay off those milkshakes.

Have you ever tried a nasal rinse. It's similar to the netti pot and let me tell you from a person who is diagnosed with chronic sinutus, this thing REALLY WORKS. I usually get sick this time of year with a cold, stuff nose, etc. and ever since I started the nasal rinse 3 months ago, I am never sick. This is my miracle!

Hope you feel better!

I agree with the previous poster that milkshakes make everything better. Now I am craving one!!!

Oh, and I always swallow garlic cloves when I have a cold. It's a natural way to fight colds and infections off and I did it while I was breastfeeding and it never seemed to bother my kids.

I took several kinds of cold medicine when I was nursing. I can't remember what kinds but ask the pharmasist. I felt like I was sick the whole first year. Feel Better!

Oh Dina...GET WELL WISHES for yall! And when u r the wife of a fireman, you are "on duty" for both parents on 24 hr shifts! Instead of coke cans...try the bags of frozen peas (or beans) because they contour better and feel a little more comfy. A little old-fashioned, but effective... a little VICKS VAPOR too : )

Oh, Sweetie! I feel sorry for you. Hope you'll get back to normal soon. Having sinusitis almost ruins our day. Every time daughter has it, I got so worried for in she couldn't breathe easily. So we always keep a vaporizer in our house, for the fast relief of her sinus infection.
