Snow Day!

We got a little bit of snow and lots of ice this morning!

Ignore Katie's Christmas PJ's. They're warm!

Today has been all about the food!

First s'mores over the fire:

Blue has cabin fever already:

And Poncho hates to be cold. He always curls up in a tight ball to stay warm.

Back to the food:

Next, I made these things that don't have a name (that I know of).
Pretzels, with rolos and pecans on top! yum -o -rama

I put them in the oven at 250 for maybe 10 or 15 minutes. You just kind of have to watch them.

Then, you'll have to do the hardest thing you've ever done in your life... let them cool!

They taste like turtles and they are heavenly!

And for tonight, I've got tortilla soup going in the crock pot.

This meal has no sugar in it! Can you believe it? It's actually kind of healthy. Until you add the tortilla chips and cheese! If you didn't add those it would just be vegetable soup. No thank you!

Now, after this Eat-a-thon, we are going to watch The Biggest Loser and feel bad about ourselves!

Those things do have a name, but I can't remember what it is. I make the same thing but with Hershey Kisses and M&M's. In fact, I'm making them for Valentine's Day candy bags for teachers, etc. Enjoy your snow!

yay for yummy food when you're snowed in! I am totally making those nameless-yet-delicious-looking turtle things!

We had tortilla soup for supper tonight as well (thank you, pioneer woman!) It was wonderful with cheese, tortilla strips, sour cream and guacamole. :)

Everytime I come to your blog, I love the design more and more! One of my favorites, for sure! That snow is gorgeous--we only got rain here in central MS. Wishing for some white before the end of winter!

Those chocolate treats look INCREDIBLE. Nothing better than sweet and salty. Gonna have to make them soon, for sure. Now I'm craving some! Happy Tuesday :)

Lots of snow here, 12 1/2 inches to be exact! All we have done is cook and eat...I will have to roll back to school if this snow ever clears. I love those pretzel turtles...that is what we call them. I know that is not the official name, but it works for us. Glad Katie is feeling better!
