Kelly's Korner is hosting a Show Us Your Life...Where do you go to church?

This isn't just to brag and boast about my wonderful church...it's a personal invitation! If you live in the DFW area and don't have a church home, please come. We would love to have you.

We are members at First Baptist Church Colleyville.

We have the best pastor who is a great speaker, but is also very kind, caring and involved. And I LOVE the music. The childrens' ministry is fantastic. And if you have a teenager, it is the place to be! We work with the youth and have so much fun!

Neither of us grew up Baptist. I was Catholic and Marcus was Nazarene. He went to the same church his whole life! That is where we went to church when we were first married. His entire family went there and it was a tiny church of less than 100 people. So it felt like we were related to half of them. We really loved everyone there, but we felt like God wanted us someplace else. And through different circumstances we found FBC Colleyville about 9 years ago. It has totally changed our lives!

Church is not about the building, it's about the people! We have met some of our best friends there.

Of course you know Courtney and Anna!

Me and Laura

Our pastor's wife, Liz and her daughter Leah Beth. Who was in my Sunday School class. They came to visit when Katie was born.

Then some of my 9th grade girls made me dinner too!

My church shower hostesses! Courtney, Anna, me, Catherine, and Laura

And when you go to the same church you have to dress alike! This is Stephen (Courtney's husband) and Marcus.

Our church family has been there for us through the fun times and also through these hard times!

I have heard a lot of people say they don't go to church, because it's full of hypocrites. Sure it is! You are right, it's full of sinners! That's why we are Christians. When you claim to be a Christian, you are saying, "I'm not perfect. I'm not good enough to make it to Heaven on my own!". That's what Jesus is for. He died for our sins and we accepted Him.

You don't have to be "good" to come to church. You don't have to know one single Bible story or hymn. Just come as you are. You don't even have to wear a pretty dress. God doesn't care what you look like. He just wants a relationship with you and church is a great place to start!

If you don't live in this area check out the other list of churches on Kelly's Korner!
