Getting Ready and The Dr.

Getting ready for Easter! It's just a few days away!
I love whenEaster falls at the end of April and not the end of March. That way we can wear our pretty Easter dresses and sandals and not a turtle neck and snow boots. ( I live in TX, so maybe that's a slight exaggeration)

Both families are coming here for Easter, the in-laws and the out- laws!

I got these little buckets at Target and filled them with goodies for my nieces and nephews.

And each adult couple is getting a box of chocolates.

I made these little chocolate bunny tags with my silhouette machine. I wrote their names on the back of the tag. I wish I had the kind of handwriting that could go on the front...but I don't!

Can we just acknowledge the fact that I, the queen of procrastination, got these puppies done ahead of time?! I think I need a prize. Maybe I should sneak a chocolate or 2 from everyone's box!
And, on a totally unrelated note, we went to the doctor today for Katie's 9 month check up.

She loves the rip up that paper!

The poor thing has no idea that she is about to get 2 shots.

I like to keep her bow on while she's nekkid, so they know she's a girl. Otherwise it's kind of hard to tell.

She did great. She weighs 19 lbs and is 28 inches long.
Her doctor gave her strict instructions to eat the ears off her chocolate bunny first. I had no idea she could have chocolate! I am happy for her, but I am not sure I am ready to share yet!

I hope the Easter Bunny is good to both of us!

Awww, she's so adorable ... and so are your Easter treats. It is going to be cold and rainy here on Easter but, no little ones in this family .... yet. I hate that she looked so happy and had to have shots ... boo hiss. I know you loved her up properly afterwards.

I have been reading your blog since long before Katie was born. I worried that people would think my (very bald) baby girl was a boy too, without a bow. I just wanted to assure you that Katie is very feminine and girlie-looking even without her bow. She is a doll!

I love your Easter treats, very cute. I am hosting Easter dinner and everyone will be lucky if I get all of the food prepared on time-I've run out of time for treats, oops.
Katie is precious as always. I love the bow:-)
Have a wonderful Easter.

My little guy loves to rip up the paper too.

Since we moved to Colorado it had the audacity to SNOW on Easter!

Hilarious that the dr. told her she could have chocolate! Who knew? We waited till mister's first birthday but he's had it once or twice since then too.
