...the never ending project!

Katie's room is almost done, so I thought I would share it with you.
I always thought I would have my nursery done the day after the gender sonogram. BUT, we had our house on the market, so I didn't know where Katie's nursery was going to be. We moved when she was 10 days old. Not optimum decorating time. I got it done, but never LOVED it.
This was at Christmas.

The khaki walls weren't doing it for me.
So I painted them blue and did a faux board and batten treatment on the bottom. Actually Marcus did that part.

This picture is complete with toys and everything! I think I always wanted the walls blue, but felt funny painting a baby girls' room blue. At least her ceiling is pink!
I have a half way done sign that is going under that crown.
And I made the mobile with an old lamp shade frame and some ornaments.
I wanted to get a picture of Katie's crib, so I can remember this time of her blankie and wubbanubs. We have 2, because sometimes she throws them overboard. She only takes a pacifier when she is in her crib and these are the only 2 we have.
That dresser is painted a really pale pink. I need to find something for inside of the 2 pink frames too.
This is the chair we feed Katie in at night. And my mom made that afghan for her.

Such a cute room! Love the color choices you made-it looks great. And that pic of her going under the bed is too funny! My 9 month old has those same pj's & they are slightly too big & always start coming off of her, too!
i love this!!!! i've been wanting to do something to my son's room and i love the board on the bottom half of the wall!!! stealing your idea :)
LOVE!
love this awesome room. Wish I had something like this when I was younger!
Such a cute room!
The baby crawling under the bed is PRICELESS!
I've been thinking about getting those plantation shutters and I think you've convinced me. Now for me to convince my husband! lol!
Great job! I've been waiting to see your finished board and batten walls. I still LOVE that mobile above her bed and I LOVE how you moved the awning to your kitchen! I have had an awning sitting around in my junk pile for a few years now. I'm waiting/hoping to find a decorative spot for it but I'm not quite there and my husband isn't either. (I always have to convince him in ANY project I undertake, so this isn't unusual) I LOVE your style girl and how you mix in funky and re-purposed pieces! Take Care, Johnnie
I love the blue for a little girls room, especially with all the bold colorful prints going on! And I adore the live out loud sign and the afghan (it will be a treasure for years to come!!) What a cute room! I wish you would come to my house and redecorate the entire thing! =)
I love the picture of Katie crawling around to go under the bed! So cute........always on-the-go! Have a great 4th of July! :)
Love it all!!! Too cute! I have the perfect poem for one of your frames! Will email it to you soon! I just love it and am making a copy of it for Meggie! By the way, did you know she had the baby on Monday morning? ADORABLE and I am loving being a Nana!
I LOVE IT! Great colors:) You rock!
I love the blue and red combo. And her mobile is so cool!!! What a lucky little girl! And since Nonni is going to have extra time on her her hands, I'm sure she'd love to clean out the closet. :)
Y'all have done a fabulous job.. Her room is awesome! I love the first pic of her standing at the foot of the big bed.. She looks like such a little girl in this big grand room.. So precious!
Her room is gorgeous! It suits the house personality ; ) As if houses have personality ; )
What an adorable room! I love the blue walls!!
I like the idea of just puttin' those frames up with the FAITH that you'll find something to put in 'em, just cause they 'look' good-me likes! :D
Sooo precious!! Thanx for sharing such an inspiring nursery with us! If only I had a baby girl.
