Christmas Tour

My Halls are Decked for Christmas!
Come on in and see...

Santa is on the front door to greet you:

And here he is to sing a little song and dance a jig for you:
He was a gift from my sister in law several years ago and I get so excited to put him out every year!

I have lots of Santas, and I love him, but we are really celebrating
Jesus's birthday! And I love Him m
ore!

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And s uddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Luke 2: 10-14

Now, Christmas in Katie's room. It had to be safe and simple. Those aren't my usual decorating priorities!

We love the Little People Nativity. It's been out since August!
She always puts the "moose" on the top of the stable. I'm not sure where the poor angel is supposed to go.

Due to having a toddler toddling around this year, I decorated with less trees then normal and used more garland. It seemed a little more practical.

more garland in my dining room:

And my husband made sure I had an outlet for the top of my kitchen cabinets so I could decorate with lighted garland. That is one of many reasons I love him and married him!

I used some chalkboard paint on my fridge to write messages:

My friend, Anna, helped me paint the cherries.

Our Elf on a Shelf, Sulley, hasn't made many trips to the North Pole this year. He's mainly been hanging out in the kitchen. I guess Santa knows how good we are already!

My pink kitchen mantle:

My kitchen ornaments are some of my faves. I usually do a big tree, but due to that cute little toddler, I put a little tree on an elevated surface.

The sifter on top was my grandmother's.
Never in million years did she think it would be a tree topper!

Here's our main tree in the sitting room:

I used lots of bright colors and Santa's:

Katie is actually really good with the tree. I taught her to touch with one finger! I don't want things in my house to be untouchable. That's no fun. So everything gets poked with one finger and Santa ornaments get hugged occasionally!

Christmas in the master bedroom:

I love having a 4 poster bed to hang garland on.

The guest room tree:

This guest room is a work in progress and the yellow and gray are a new addition. So I just used some ornaments I had and added yellow ribbon to them. My mom crocheted the flower that's on top.

I found these flannel snowflake sheets at Tarjay. They are THE SOFTEST things ever. You should come over and spend the night!

Have a wonderful Christmas!

I must know where you got the ornaments hanging from Katie's ceiling! I must have them! :)
Your house looks amazing! And I love all the Jim Shore nativity stuff! I'll have to pass the touch with one finger thing along to Russell. I LIKE that!

Your guest room is the exact idea I have for my master! I'm sure you know, but how hard is it to repaint wood furniture??? The current stain on ours is what holds me back from changing decor in my master. Anyway, you do such a lovely job decorating!!

I can't pay you much, but I just know we could be friends! :) My hubby's a fireman too and we have babies the same age. See? It's meant to be! :)
