Happy Easter...

from me, my husband and my fridge:

We hosted both families today for lunch.
The girl table:

This is the boy table. They always get the short end of the stick:

I got these daffodils at the grocery store for 2 bucks! Bargain!
Oh and I just painted stripes on my dresser!

This bunny got his ears bit off as soon as our company left!

It was pouring down rain today. So all the festivities had to be inside.

One thing I love about this house is the REAL wood windows. They are just in the front windows, but I appreciate them.

Katie was thrilled to get a basket this morning.
And she was thrilled to get to wear Elmo PJs!

I am anti "character clothes", but I think PJs are acceptable. She saw them at the store and said they were, "so cute"! And she desperately needed more jammies, so it was her lucky day.

AND she got to eat her chocolate bunny for breakfast!

Don't you wish I was your mom too?

My parents with the grand kids:

My nephews were kind enough to sit in PINK chairs for me!

The 3 Musketeers:

It was like Christmas for Katie. She got spoiled by her family!

My sister made her this super cute bunny!

I have him flopped over weird, but he is adorable!

Katie's Easter dress was our Plan C. Plan A was too big, Plan B was a hand me down and it didn't look super cute, and Plan C was this dress:

It is a 12 month dress from last year, that I got out of a space bag full of her old clothes. The decision was made 5 minutes before we had to leave for church.

This is the worlds worst background for a picture, but this is Marcus's side of the family:

I have a halo over my head, because I'm really an angel. :)

My side of the family.
Katie was so tired and still not feeling great, so she had to have her "wub and bay". (pacifier and blanket, for those that don't speak Katie Belle.)

I bet Ryan, who is 9, will be taller than me by next Easter! His dad is on the right, so that gives you an idea of what is to come.

The kids were put in Katie's room while we hid all the eggs:

The hunt is on:

Katie had a few special Elmo eggs from her Aunt Kelly.

It was a fun day.

I'm thankful for my family, thankful for Marcus's delicious BBQ, thankful for chocolate, thankful for my super awesome church, and thankful for Jesus!

I'm new to your blog, but I just have to tell you how much I enjoy it. And this post is no exception! :)

I think it's safe to say I've found a new favorite blog to read. Awesome!

Oh, and really quick before I stop stalking you, I know that Katie's dress was technically plan C, but it's absolutely adorable! Polka dots are my favorite design EVER and she looks so stinkin' cute it should be illegal!

I'm so glad to see that you and your precious family had such a wonderful Easter :)

I knew you were an angel in disguise! Love how you can get your entire family on both sides together for a peaceful gathering. Your Easter was way better than ours. We were stuck at home with a strep ridden baby girl. Hope Katie feels better soon! Do you think she might be cutting some teeth?

Glad to know I'm not the only 'ANTI-CHARACTER' mother out there! :-)
Happy Easter!
