The Trashy Library

Remember the bookshelf I found on the curb?
That's a nice way of saying "in someone's trash".

It got a fresh coat of paint and it's full of books!

It's the perfect size for Katie's room.
It fits nicely by the reading chair.

This was the "before".

I actually like that color green, but it didn't really match her room. And I wanted to paint all the funkiness away. It DID come out of the trash after all!

This is what it normally looks like!

Katie loves to sit and read her books. It's so cute to hear what she says as she's flipping the pages. It can keep her occupied for a LONG time, so I am a big fan of the books too.

Love it! And I've totally gotten stuff at that same place (curb, other people's trash, etc.) :)

Bookshelves are only the temporary spot. The real spot for books is on the floor!

Love it! I agree! A fresh coat of paint is always a must for trashy projects. Your mom would be so proud of your recycling efforts. :)
