A Real Saturday

Since Marcus just started paramedic school, this was our first traditional weekend.
Now I know how you crazy "regular" people live.  I like having Marcus home more, but I am not sure if I  like this schedule or not.  I am usually very against routine. And for some reason, I have been a lot less productive this week too? There might not be a correlation, it might just be laziness!

Instead of having donut Friday, today was donut Saturday! YAY!
I had to drop something off at my friend, Erin's, house anyway, so they got donuts and juice too!  And Katie added in a Mickey Mouse balloon also!

After breakfast Marcus went to help my dad take down his Christmas lights.  And he took Katie with him! My mom was kind enough to watch her and send me these pictures:
This is a dog she named Mommy Puppy!  I guess someone loves her mommy!

And Katie has been asking to play golf with Grampy for several days now.  So he and Marcus made her a little golf club.
My plan was to clean the house while they were gone.
It didn't happen.
Instead I got comfy on the couch and watched Where The Heart Is, because I have only seen it 100 times and something might have changed! It was really nice to have some alone time though.

This afternoon Marcus and Katie worked on the dog house "they" are building:

This evening we went to a 50th anniversary party and then to Hobby Lobby! Today was Hobby Lobby appreciation day.  They are being charged 1.3 million dollars a day for not agreeing to provide the morning after pill for their employees.  To be honest, I would have supported a Jewish owned business if they were fined for not serving pork at their business.   I realize it's a bad analogy. I am just for freedom and the government not being the boss of me or a private company! And I feel that way about the donkey or the elephant parties.  They need to quit bossing so much!

Anyway I got this cute journal, because I committed to doing the scripture memory verse with Beth Moore this year.  And I needed a cute journal to document my verses. You can read more about it here, if you are interested it joining in too!  My blog friend, Kelly, told me about it.

I also got a wreath that was 80% off! And a big metal plate stand.  I will take pictures of them when it's not so dark and late.

I will do my best to make up Hobby Lobby's 1.3 million dollar per day fine.

Now it is almost 10:30 and I need to prepare for my Sunday School class tomorrow!  I need a serious lecture in time management and self discipline! I at least packed up some chocolate covered pretzels to take to my girls, so at least I have that going for me!
