There is No Way This Randomness Can Be Titled

Thank you for all your sweet words about Katie and joining us in thanksgiving that she is OK!
We are so grateful for her life.

I took this picture of her shoes on our kitchen floor last week.
She has a habit of coming in from the garage, plopping right down on the kitchen floor and taking off her shoes.
And leaving them there!

I took a picture because her "ruby slippers" reminded me of my blog title, There's No Place Like Home. But the main reason, is because I get butterflies in my stomach when I see her little shoes or socks laying on the floor somewhere.  I STILL can't believe I have my very own kid! I know I sound like such a corn dog, but it's true.  I love seeing her tiny things everywhere! I am sure that might wear off in a few years!
Marcus left his shoes in the kitchen today, and I did not get the same warm fuzzy feelings.  Although, I am thankful for him too.

Katie was born with a ton of hair and always has some pretty great bed head.
She loves the flash in her face first thing in the morning!

Lately, her morning 'do, has reminded me of Eunice from Mama's Family:
I have a spray bottle with water, and it's our best friend in the morning! We just get it went and start from scratch.

We are switching topics to The Bachelor now!  Tierra is gone!
And I don't like to talk bad about people, but I thought it was kinda funny when she said that she wasn't going to let the girls take her "Sparkle"!
I did not like when she called one of the girls, who was 32(!), a cougar! Come on!

Home town dates are next week.  I am sure I will need to take a tums, because I get so uncomfortable and embarrassed for everyone!

And lastly, way too many of you are praising me for eating less sugar!
You need to understand that I am eating less sugar than I was eating, but not less sugar for the normal person.

This is me:

 And this is me too:
Candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup!

And this is really me:
And what happens after he drinks all that Coke, might be me too! :)

I'm trying to have sugar in moderation! Trying!

I JUST read an article today that a lady died from drinking too much Coke! Uh Oh! She was only 30 and had no teeth.  Her diet was 10 liters of Coke a day and 30 cigarettes.
I don't smoke, so at least I have that going for me!

R.I.P. Coke lady.  I hope you are drinking Coke in Heaven right now, with Jesus, and a full mouth of beautiful teeth!

Eek! I can't believe that! That's very scary! Glad you're cutting down on some sugar though. I'm trying too, but mine is mainly with sweets.

I think you should frame that pic of Katie's "ruby slipper" against the black and white tile. It's artsy and touching.
P.S. Can I listen to your necklace???
