That stands for Big Girl Bed.
And I am not sure how many times I've said that phrase today, but I'm bet I broke the record!

So last night was Katie's last night in her crib. I thought I was going to be fine. She is going to be 3 in a few days for goodness sakes. I am sure we have broken "The longest time in a crib" record too! But I got a little teary at bedtime when we were saying prayers. Katie hugged me and consoled me.

I had to document her last time in the crib. This was at 9:30 this morning when she woke up! I sure hope she sleeps that late in the BGB!

My mom had Katie for most of the day so we could get the crib out and set up her new bed.
She had a really pretty antique full size bed in here, but I felt like it was too high.
So we got a day bed with a trundle. And Katie will sleep on the trundle. That will save me from having to make the bed too.  And this gives her lots more room to play!
This is when she came home for the big reveal!
She was checking everything out.

Her favorite part was when we pulled out the trundle bed and it had a Minnie Mouse blanket on it!
Do you know that I stood in the aisle at Walmart debating that blanket for 10 minutes. I am not a big fan of character things. I got it because it would be hidden under the bed and I wanted her to be excited about her BGB.
She was! And I am so glad that I wasn't a snooty pants about a Minnie blanket!

And this was tonight at bed time!
Katie did great! I didn't tear up, but I thought about it. She was asleep within 10 minutes.
I think I have looked at the monitor more than when she was a new born.

We are praying for a peaceful night!

Marcus told me that when he and Katie were at the store on Monday, she started shouting, "I'm going to be a big sister!" She must know something that we don't. But maybe we will be able to pull out that crib again. (don't hold your breath though!)

God willing, he likes to throw in some surprises :)

I'm the same way about character things!

I got super emotional about moving David to a big boy bed and I didn't expect to. I took pics too and got teary. Crazy. What is it about the bed? There have been so many other things that I've taken much more in stride. How is it going for y'all? The big boy bed has had some ups and downs for us but mostly it's good. Kelly
