Paint Help Please!

Color Gallery offers you access to Benjamin Moore's complete catalog of more than 3,400 beautiful paint colors.

First of all, I want to share that Sherwin Williams is having a 40% off sale this weekend!
That's a big chunk of savings!

So I thought it would be smart to go and buy some paint!
I have been looking for a neutral paint and can't find one that looks good. That's where you come in! I would love some advice.

Here's what I need:

Something more in the brown family than the gray family. It just goes better with my stuff, even though I really love gray.
I want it SUPER light and bright. I feel like my house is too dark. And you know I love color, I love it like I love Coke...that's a lot! But I feel like all my stuff is so colorful, that having light neutral walls would be OK. (Except for that I just painted a wall turquoise yesterday! Part of me loves it and the other part is scared of it!)

So I need advice before I waste time painting walls the wrong ugly color!
(and it doesn't have to be a S.W. color. They can color match anything!)

THANK YOU!

I love the SW color Macadamia. It's in my playroom and I used the color right above it on the color strip for my kitchen. I can't remember the name, but I love it too.

Sherwin Williams' Killem Beige is a nice bright browny neutral.

We have Valspar's Winter Wheat in several rooms. It's the only khaki/brown color I have loved.

Chocolate Froth is a beautiful color. If I had to name it, I would call it "Wendy's Frosty."

We are painting our new (to us) house right now so I just so happen to have colors in my brain!

My 2 favorite tan/neutrals that I have used with success are Benjamin Moore's "Cabot Trail" and "Pismo Dunes". I also love Revere Pewter but haven't used it in my own home.

What I do when I like a color is check pinterest - you can usually find someone with a room painted that color and get an idea if it is your style.

Good luck!

Have you ever checked out favoritepaintcolorsblog.com ? People submit pictures of their rooms and also list name and brand of paint. I love love love "snooping" at others homes and seeing what colors they use and decorate their home so this is one of my favorite blogs to get ideas from. You need to check it out!

Haha I just went to SW today to get paint and had them color match a Ben Moore color. You can go to favoritepaintcolorsblog.com and you can do a search for any paint color and you can usually find it. Also, if you ask the person working the desk at SW for a fan deck, they will usually give you one. I have one and use it all the time to get color ideas for the house. Good luck!

We have SW "Whole Wheat" in most of our house and it looks great with everything. My favorite color from them is not in the tan family - but you should look at it. It's called "Sea Salt." It looks grayish green on the card, but it's a pretty blue (not cotton candy, but a sea blue) on the walls. I wish I had used it more in our house, but no way I'm repainting again. Unless my husband wants to.

Sherwin Williams Macadamia is my fav. Goes with everything I have ever used it with. My go-to neutral. I notice I'm not the only one!
