We still have lots of ice all over the ground. Some schools were closed again today, including Katie's!
Yesterday was supposed to be my 20 week appointment with the doctor. Which means we would find out the gender! Well, they were closed due to the ice too!
God is trying to grow my patience.
The office got us in today...along with everyone else too!
We had to wait 2 hours. With a 3 year old. And a full bladder.
When I got there they said, "Don't go to the bathroom!" I guess the baby is easier to see with a full bladder?
I don't know, but I was about to burst. When they saw my FULL bladder on the sono, the nurse and the doctor both apologized.
Marcus and Katie waiting...
I had to include myself too. This new baby needs to know the mommy was there also!
Except, I didn't want to show my double chin, so I kept trying.
It turns out if you have a double chin, they are hard to hide!
The bonus is that I have lost 1.5 pounds this pregnancy! Apparently it didn't come off my chin!
Oh, and we're having a BOY!
Katie's name suggestions have been Woody or Buzz Lightyear, so we would appreciate any other suggestions. I have always loved Jack, but my friend Michelle, has the cutest Jack ever! We couldn't compete with him!
After our super duper long appointment we went to Bass Pro Shops. (Well, first we ate, because I have my priorities straight!) We always get Katie's picture with Santa there. Not this year. She wanted nothing to do with the man! I didn't force the issue.
She got to ride the merry go round and then went "camping" with her dad!
We had a fun day and it was so nice to be out of the house!
And it's really nice to know what kind of baby I'm having and that he looks healthy!
The doctor was measuring his bones, looking at his kidneys, and I said, "is there a heartbeat?!" I don't know if anyone else asks that at their 20 week appointment, but I'm still surprised!
Thanking God for a healthy baby!
