Pizza and Pink Eye

My nephew, Ryan, turned 12 on Friday.
There was a family party and I missed it!
I have been sick and can't shake it.

I feel like it might have something to do with not sleeping for 4 months and 3 weeks. (it's not just a coincidence that Jesse was born 4 months and 3 weeks ago.)

Marcus took the kids to the party and was nice enough to take a couple of pictures for me.

Ryan had a pizza party.
So my niece, Melissa, made him a pizza cake!

She is a 15 year old baking Queen!

The birthday boy with Katie and Jesse.
They have the best cousins!
I was so sad to miss out, but I didn't want to spread my germs.

That night Marcus slept in Jesse's room to take care of the feedings.
Isn't that nice?! This baby is on a newborn schedule again.
Up every 2 hours!
This was Jesse's first night in his crib!
He's still in our room. If he starts going long stretches of not waking up, I will move him to his room permanently. For now it's easier to walk a couple of steps. I don't want to haul myself to the other wing of the house in the middle of the night! (J/K I don't have wings! It's just down the hall, but still!)

So I woke up Saturday with my eyes glued shut and still feeling terrible.
Marcus took me to Care Now. I was THRILLED to see Elf playing in the waiting room.
That is pretty much the best movie ever made, in my opinion.
I feel like I was maybe meant to be an elf? I do have a love for Christmas and Christmas decorating that's a little out of control.
And their 4 basic food groups are Candy, Candy Canes, Candy Corn, and Syrup. Hello? That's 90% of my diet.

Anyway, Marcus and I enjoyed our date at "the movies". I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and a double dose of pink eye.

I was given prescriptions that are safe while nursing. So I am hoping to be fixed up soon.

So I have had an opportunity to lay on the couch and watch HGTV. Have you seen Fixer Upper? It's pretty awesome. Check it out. You'll see stuff like this:
It's a husband and wife team and they are actually NICE to each other. You don't see that very often. I love all their stuff. They live in Waco, TX. That's about 2 hours from me. I now want to move there, so they can fix up a house for me.

It would actually be easier to move, than to clean my house at this point!

 Today is my 1/2 birthday.
39 1/2...6 months til 40!??!!!

One birthday a year isn't enough. So we do half birthdays in our house too!
I got cinnamon rolls for breakfast!
The Bumbo clearly states to NOT put it on elevated surfaces. So don't copy our parenting ...or lack of! Elevate at your own risk!

Katie made me a card and Marcus wrote a REALLY cute and funny poem inside.

Marcus asked my sister to watch the kids and we ate Mexican food.
It was nice to finish a sentence without getting interrupted.
And we didn't have to share our queso with anyone too.

Tonight we went to a yogurt place.
Katie and I both get excited to pick out our toppings.
She got m&m's, marshmallows, sprinkles, and gummy bears.
(I only allowed a few of each AND I made her eat some carrots at dinner!)
She did not look anything like this when she was eating her carrots.

So in 6 months I will be a real live adult!
I better start getting my act together!

The Greatest Show and Cotton Candy on Earth

On Saturday we took Katie to the circus!

My mom watched Jesse for us. It will be fun when he's at an age of appreciation for stuff like this too. Right now he just wants to know, "What do you have that I can chew on? And you're not even  going to think about putting me down, right?"
We had a great time. The acrobats were amazing! They all need to try out for American Ninja Warrior. They would do awesome.

OK, if this were Marcus's blog, this is where he would say, "How much could you fathom paying for cotton candy?" Then he would proceed to tell you that it was $14!

Thankfully, Katie totally enjoyed it.

And thankfully it came in this super cool hat Marcus is wearing.
We are brilliant parents and brought light up things with us.
That saved us $25.
We are not tight wads, just trying to be good stewards.
Katie was happy!

And these are my sweet kids before church on Sunday.
They love each other so much.
We keep warning Katie that one day Jesse will waddle in her room, grab all her toys and then drool all over them.

I hope giving her the heads up will save some drama.
We bought her $14 magical cotton candy.
I feel like that should count as a down payment for being patient with your little brother.

The Lash Lady

Kelly's Korner is hosting a Direct Sales Fair today!
So, of course I had to share about Younique!
Their 3D Fiber Lash mascara is all the rave.
They are selling more than 10,000 a day! Crazy!

I had 2 friends that were presenters with the company, so I tried some of the mascara and I loved it!
I couldn't believe the difference!
(my 4 year old asked me who was the man in the top picture? Uh, that's your mommy!)

I really love that it's all naturally based too!

And that I get to earn an income and stay home with these cuties!

Younique had a lot more than just mascara.
Lots of fun mineral eye pigments:

I really love the lip glosses!
They all have a little mirror on the side and now I don't know how I lived without a mirror on my lip gloss all my life?

Our Primer has been getting lots of attention from Makeup artists lately.
It's pretty amazing.

Direct sales is not something I EVER thought I would do. I started out loving the mascara, tried all the other things and loved them too. I was sharing my love and decided to make a business out of it!
I'm so happy I did. I am having lots of fun and I get paid EVERY DAY! 3 hours after a sale is made, you have money in your account!

Let me know if this is something you might be interested in too.

Or if you just want some fabulous eyelashes for now, you can order here
Younique has a Love It guarantee!

Check out Kelly's Korner for more women selling stuff you can't live without. I think it's great to support each other!

Party Animals

We have been some partying fools this summer!
Lots of birthdays to celebrate.

Katie went to her friend, Gunner's pool party.
They met when they were 1year olds at MDO. Gunner was always so sweet to Katie. The night her pacifier got "broken" (I cut the end off) it was Gunner that Katie was calling for in the night. They had a special bond. We don't get to see him often enough, but I hope they stay friends.

Katie has also gotten to go to 3 fun Frozen parties this summer, besides her own. Those were all a big hit!

I got to party a little bit too!
Last week we celebrated a few girls' birthdays!
We went and had dinner then...

Oh yes, we went to a Karaoke place!

Here's cutie Catherine. She was the official bday girl that night!

Thankfully we had a little room to ourselves, so we could sing our guts out!

Anna was in love with the tambourines. And they loved her back! She was good!
We all covered ourselves in hand sanitizer after we left. The place was a little shady, but we had the best time!

The day after that, we went to ARKANSAS!
We went to visit my friend, Tori.
I don't have a picture of us together, but here are our cute kids.
Katie loved hanging with Avery and was totally impressed with her dress up selection!

That was our summer vacation. Not much sounded doable with a 4 month old. So visiting fun friends was perfect!

THEN! Yesterday was my sister's birthday!

We went out to eat to celebrate.

Jesse played musical chairs.

Katie, my mom, and me

Katie was making lots of wishes in the fountain.
Lucky for her, I am super rich in pennies!

Wishing really hard...

Marcus holding my purse. I had to take a pic, because if he is EVER holding my purse, it's usually held out 10 feet in front of him.

Glenn Bryant (my dad)
and Jesse Bryant
I think that might be the cutest picture ever!

I always thank God for our friends and family. We are blessed beyond measure.
They make for a joy filled life!
And a birthday cake filled life too!

4 and 4

We took both kids to the doctor last week for their well visits. 4 months and 4 years.
Katie LOVES to go to the doctor. She likes the fish and also the prize she gets afterward.
She had no idea that she would be getting 4 shots. It's best to leave that as a surprise for the end!
Katie  weighed 41 lbs and was 42 inches tall
Jesse weighed 14 lbs and was 24 inches tall.
Do you see how they inverted both their #'s?
Jesse turned 4 months old on the 3rd.
He's starting to sleep a little better. Most nights he's just up once.
And he rolled over for the first time yesterday.
I think he will have teeth soon, because he is chewing and drooling on everything.
He's kind of a big slime ball most of the time, with his spit up and drool.
I guess it's a boy thing!

And his 'do is a little bit too Squiggy-ish right now!
We will probably trim that up soon!

Jesse loves to socialize and talk.
(those cheeks have been kissed a million times!)

He also loves to be held all day everyday.
That is why these are the only pictures of him hanging in our house!
No time for framing pics and hanging them up.
Maybe on his first day of kindergarten I will get it done?
No, on the second day. On the first day I already have plans for a nap!

I think God really laughed at me on the day I told Marcus that I WOULD NOT have kids after I was 31. That was my cut off! I'm thankful for my sweet babies and I'm thankful God has a better plan than me!
