CHRISTMAS!

We had a great Christmas.
I hope you did too.
We went to Christmas Eve service at our church. The best part was that my whole family and Marcus's parents came too!

This is in our church lobby:
I made Katie's feet look huge by the way I took the picture. Whoops.

My in laws:

After church we went to my parent's house for dinner and presents!

Jesse outgrew his shoes this week, so he had to go without.

They love each other so much!

After dinner we put on our jammies. The 4 of us had matching PJs. Jesse was asleep by this time, but he matched us while he was dreaming of sugar plums.
Marcus is a good sport!

Katie got an Ariel dress from her Great Aunt Carol. She loves it.

Frozen tent from Aunt Kelly and fam. I think Disney should have sponsored our Christmas!

GIANT Anna and Elsa dolls from my parents:

We got home late and still had to get the kids' gifts set up.
And I had to make a midnight run to 7/11 for batteries. I was in my PJs of course.  I treated myself to a Slurpee. I just don't feel like I could go into a 7/11 and walk out without one?
I earned it!

Jesse had a great 1st Christmas.

Katie got her very own fishing pole!

my boys:

Katie really needed a stick horse. She rides everything from paper towel rolls to dish towels around the house and pretends they are a horse. This one makes real horse noises too. And it's pink!

After we opened gifts at home it was time to go to Marcus's brother's house for breakfast and MORE presents!
His mom, sister, our nieces and Katie and Jesse:

My babies:

We always sing Happy Birthday to Jesus!

Cousins:

Jesse really appreciated all his new toys!

Marcus and his brother:

My Santa baby:

Katie and my niece Jennifer did the fun zip line in the back yard.

Then Katie got brave and wanted to do it by herself:

So fun!

We had a wonderful Christmas. We had lots of delicious food, fun family time, and OVER abundance of gifts, but we are most thankful for Jesus.

Christmas Tour

I have a thing for Christmas.
I love it!
I love the lights, decorations, the excitement, the goodwill towards men, the cookies and fudge, everything
It's just such a fun time.

Pink Christmas trees and plastic Santas don't scream "Unto us a Savior has been born..." but that's what we are celebrating here! Jesus's birth.
That's where our JOY comes from, and I hope our home reflects that!
Pretend like I'm handing you a cup of hot chocolate and some sugar cookies.
Welcome to our home...

My sister in law gave me my vintage light up Santa this year and I love him!

Our Christmas cards are clothes pinned to the little tree.
I have yet to send mine, or order mine, or even take the picture for mine!

Our kitchen is apple green, not glow in the dark green. Promise.
The kitchen tree is my favorite:

Our living room:
And another Santa from my sis in law. He sings and dances!

I didn't have any floor space in here for a tree, so I put one on top of this cabinet.

Our bedroom:

I found the letters at Hobby Lobby. I just painted them and glued them together.

Our tree has my veil as the topper and our wedding picture stuck in there.

Our 4 year old, Katie Belle's room:

The baby Jesus is missing from her Nativity, because she stuck him in her purse to go to church on Sunday.
Makes sense. Jesus and lip gloss.

Katie appreciated her Christmas decorations so much!
That made it even more fun to do!

And here's Jesse's room. He's our 8 month old.
I am a little bit nervous to see what next year brings with a 20 month old boy + Christmas trees!

His daddy is a fire fighter, so we have lots of fireman ornaments!

11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Luke 2:11-14
