Christmas Home Tour!

Merry, happy, joyful Christmas to you!
I super love Christmas time and all magicalness and goodwill towards men!
I think Santa is adorable and fun, but we are celebrating Jesus's birthday here!

This is our first Christmas in this house, so it was fun to decorate!

This is my favorite project that we did!
It's just old fence from our backyard. I'm thankful for a handy husband. Nobody should trust me with a saw!

My friend, Anna, gave me her old brass chandelier. I was so thankful for it. My old chandelier made me sad! This one got some spray paint and some paper around the light covers!
Instant JOY!

I need to paint my front door. Any color suggestions?

Love my kitchen tree with all the treats!

This side just got a few little trees on top of the cabinets.
Cabinet hardware is still on my To Do list. Maybe Santa will bring some?

Our backsplash is just old fence also:

The plan was subway tile, but all my remodeling dollars were gone after we put the counters in. So this was FREE! One day we may do the tile.

Katie Belle made a Christmas plate at school. I did the same thing at her age. She couldn't believe I had one too!

This is her room:

I think we will both be sad to take the giant snowflake down!

Does a unicorn tree topper say "unto us a child is born, and he is Christ the Lord"?
Probably not, but God made us whimsical and silly. So I think it's ok. And Katie Belle is positive there are unicorns in Heaven, so...

Her red tree has all the ornaments she has gotten every year from my mom. And ones that she has picked out herself.

Jesse just got a tiny tree and some garland on a high shelf due to the fact that he's 1 1/2.
This was best for everyone.

He has actually been really great with all the decorations. I DID find a little football stuck in the living room tree yesterday though!

The playroom:

As I was taking this picture I saw the kids out the (dirty) window, riding their car.
Love them!

(Marcus was out there with them. We don't leave our children unattended in motorized vehicles. That clarification was for my mom's sake.)

Here they are from the other day:

This is Jesse's favorite thing to do right now. And KB's favorite thing to do is make Jesse happy...most of the time anyway.

Our room.
It's always clean and I make my bed everyday.
Not true.
If Marcus is at the fire station, I'm usually sleeping with a pile of laundry!

I made my bed just for you!

"I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.  Today in the town of David, a saviour has been born to you;
He is the Messiah, the Lord."

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Yay! Christmas time is finally here!
I love all the festiveness!

This tree is in our area and it's amazing! The picture doesn't do it justice. Every branch and twig is wrapped with lights.

It's been cold and rainy since Thanksgiving so we don't even have our lights up yet! It's kind of making me twitch.

On Saturday Courtney and I took our girls to a Christmas tea party at Golightly's.
They loved it!

Today Katie Belle had to go back to her job in Kindergarten after having a week off. So I lost my helper!

I made the mistake of going to the bathroom today and I found Jesse on the kitchen table trying to eat some fake cupcakes!
I think I gave him the wrong message when I laughed and then took a picture.
Katie is the responsible one that keeps us all in check!

We had a great Thanksgiving and I hope you did too!

My sister-in-law, Lisa, had everything decorated so pretty.

My niece made these cookies!

And Marcus made the pecan pies!

The best part about this week was that my Sunday school girls came home from college! I had them over for pizza and junk food and got to hear their crazy stories! I miss them so much!

Jesse's least favorite part of the week was Santa:

I wonder if Santa told him he was on the naughty list?!

Some Life

Marcus and I celebrated 16 years of wedded bliss on the 23rd. We had a fun date. Thankfully most all our days are fun!

We had an extra fireman in the house on Halloween.

He put his hat on himself!

Jesse had a costume parade at school.

Katie Belle picked out a peacock costume:
We had such a fun night trick or treating in our new hood. My friend, Catherine, and her son Cason came too and that made it more fun!

We made our annual pumpkin patch visit with our BFFs, Charis and Drew:

I wish I had a video of Jesse saying pumpkin. Sometimes it sounds like pancake other times it sounds like bacon. It's super cute either way!

Everyone took a turn with Jesse down the slide. He really likes Charis and Katie got jealous. She was afraid he would think Charis was his new big sister!
Drama Queen!

Last week was the 50th day of school!
Kindergarteners had to dress up in 50's clothes. I found this outfit on Amazon for 8 bucks! And it shipped in one day. I'm really thankful I'm a mom in the internet era. I would've never made it if I had to sew this puppy on my own.
It looked like Katie Belle was doing the jitterbug, but it's just the tail end of a twirl.

These two LOVE each other!
Here's some love wrestling:
I really felt like Katie Belle would be an only child. That girl was made to be a big sister! I'm so grateful she gets to be one!
She hugs and kisses Jesse all day, and tells him that he is sooo cute!
Hopefully this won't ruin him in the future!

My nephew, Jeddy, turned 12 today!
Melissa made his cake. It was so good.
 I love living near family!

Katie Belle and her big brother Blue Bell.
He's named after the ice cream.
Which I'm so thankful to say is back in our freezer! It's been out of production since early spring.

We don't buy ice cream unless it's Blue Bell.
I picked the name Katie and Marcus picked Belle. I'm not sure if she's named after the dog or the ice cream? Either is just wrong, but it's cute so I didn't care.

We saw The Peanuts movie! Have you? I thought it was super cute! KB laughed out loud through the whole thing!
