It's About That Time Again!

We have been here 5 years now, so we've got the itch to move.(I get the itch after about 2 years really)
And Katie starts kindergarten in the fall, so it's best to do it now.

Since my house is clean, I thought I better capture this rare moment!

And look, I painted my living room walls gray!
I kept my turquoise wall, because I didn't want to be too neutral!
Also, my dining room is pink and my kitchen is green. So I guess neutral is WAY out of the question.

That poor horse is living in the garage right now.
We want things too look roomy, and a big horse doesn't help that situation.

No piles of laundry on my chair!
The hard thing about your house being for sale, is that you can't hide things in the closet! People look there too! EVERYTHING has to be clean.
This has been a challenge!

Jesse has not gotten the memo that we want to keep the house clean. In fact, his mission is the exact opposite of "keeping the house clean".

We are praying for a quick sale and no drama is the process.

I'm ready to move and decorate a new house!

The Graduates

Katie Belle is a Pre-K graduate!
They didn't say for sure, but she might have been the valedictorian?

They had a video of all the kids saying their name and what they wanted to be when they grew up.
The girl that shot the video said that she practiced with each kid first and wanted to know what they were going to say.
Katie said, "I don't need to practice I've got this. And it's a surprise!"

"My name is Katie Belle and when I grow up, I'm going to be a rock star!"

Earlier in the day we were at Sonic...shocker
She said she wanted to work there. Then decided that actually she wanted to be a rock star. I was still surprised to see it on the video, because I didn't know it was a thought in her head for more than a few seconds.

Katie had such WONDERFUL teachers this year!
We love them.
And I love this picture, because when they announced Katie's name and she went on stage, her brother SQUEALED with delight. He was SO happy and excited to see her! She loved it!
So cute!

Lots of family came to watch the graduate!
Marcus's parents came too, but left before the picture.

Then we had another family graduation the next day!
My niece, Jennifer, graduated from college!
She did it in 3 years!!!

The party was at David and Lisa's house.
(Marcus's brother and Jennifer's other aunt and uncle.)

Melissa made the cake and cupcakes, of course.

This is Katie enjoying the massage chair. Her head was where a big person's back is supposed to be, so it was bobbling her head all around! Funny!

Jesse was there too.

We are so proud of both our graduates!

Katie had her last day of school after the graduation.
The left is the first day of school and the right is the last.
I don't think she looks too different?
She's grown a couple of inches though.

Silly face:

The sweetest girlfriends in her class:

We celebrated with Nonni and some ice cream after school!

Jesse shared bites of all of ours.
I think he liked it!

The next day we did more celebrating at Legoland with Katie's friend, Courtney.

They had fun and Katie got to fulfill her dream of being a rock star!

Now it's time to get ready for kindergarten.
I need to train myself to be a morning person, or at least pretend to be!

Speaking of morning...
I love when Katie goes to see Jesse after he wakes up.
They are so happy to reunite!

I wish she could actually get him out of his crib, change his diaper and make them both breakfast.

Oh that picture made me think of these pictures...
Time flies.
They will both be graduating high school in a blink of an eye.

The day after that, I will sleep in!

I know Mother's Day is old news by now, but it has to be documented!

Marcus was at the fire station on Mother's day, so I met my family out to eat after church.
Have you been out to eat with a one year old?
My picture looks better in black and white, because Jesse had me sweating. He's not going with me to a restaurant for a loooong time.
I love my kids and I am thankful and humbled to be their mom!

My mom with her grands...

We had Marcus's parents over for dinner on Monday night since he missed Mother's Day. I had him hide behind his mom, because he didn't have a cute outfit on. :)
Let me just say, I would not be surviving motherhood if it weren't for my mom and mother-in-law. They are such a HUGE help to me! I am grateful!

We also got to celebrate my super cute nieces' birthdays!
Jennifer and Melissa:
Melissa made the fabulous cake!

Katie finished up the soccer class she was taking at the rec center.
She really liked it! She's a good mix of girly girl and tom boy.

And this punkin is ALL BOY:
Jesse climbed into his umbrella stroller backwards and then he fell face first to the ground.
I was SURE his nose was broken.
(I promise he's not a neglected child. He's just faster than me!)

We went to the doctor the next day and everything looked good.
He is healing really well and is as cute as ever!

The day Jesse went to the doctor, it was also Pastries with Parents day at Katie's school. So my mom filled in as the parent.
Katie was thrilled and didn't miss me a bit!

The other day Marcus wanted to go for a walk and I really wanted a Coke Icee. So we joined forces and walked to get a Coke Icee.
We were both happy.
We have to think creatively to make our "oppositeness" work.

Can you believe it's about to be Memorial Day? I feel like Christmas JUST happened!
And now it's already time for Hobby Lobby to start decking the halls for the holidays!
